I slept in until about 11 today. Spring break is so wonderful! I once again decided to just lay in bed for a while. Our senora asked us if we wanted to eat early, so we ate around 12. I love eating early because then we have the whole afternoon to do what we want. We had mashed potatoes and chicken. After that we went to a store that has lots of jewelry and accessories, and everything is 2 euros! I got 4 things. The weather outside was gorgeous, so we went back to the park and laid out all afternoon. After that we went running, and got ready for dinner. We had white fish with au gratin potatoes. Then we met the other girls and walked over to Plaza de Espana because there had been a festival type thing there during the day. When we got there it was practically closed, so we just walked around. There was a group of adults that were lost, and asked us for directions, so we told them, and I think that the one man was drunk because as soon as we told him, he started walking the other direction and seemed very confused. We run into a lot of drunk people out here. After that we got ice cream, and I got chocolate brownie. We were standing on the corner of the road, near the McDonald’s, and two younger boys ran up behind Carrie and smacked her butt. The boys here are very immature, and they think they can get away with whatever they want. They don’t have much respect for girls. Then we decided to walk along the river at about 11:30 p.m. There were so many drunk high school students that were having botellones, which is where you buy your own alcohol and make mixed drinks. The drinking age is much lower here, and you constantly see people walking around with drinks, or cigarettes at very young ages. We decided we better get out of there, it didn’t seem very safe. We decided to go sit on the bench on the main bridge, then randomly a group of people came and stood right by us, and started their own botellon. They were already pretty drunk by that point too. They were asking us for directions, so that they could get to their next party. They offered us a cruzcampo, which is the main beer here, for helping them, but we didn’t take it. We stayed out until about 1:15, but it was the time change for us that night, so it was really 2:15. We decided to go back and get to bed.
