March 23, 2010

After class we took a group picture in our Semester In Spain t-shirts in front of the Torre Del Oro, which is an old tower that was used in battle. It is on the same street as our school. It was a beautiful, warm day so we took bocadillos and went to Parque de Maria Luisa to eat our lunches and relax in the sun. I stayed there until 4:30 and then I had to leave because I had my service project. It is going so much better now that I know what to do. There are some volunteers there though that are so rude. Spaniards are known to be very blunt and say what they are thinking no matter what. They said right to us that Jess was better at grammar than me, but I was a better speaker than Jess. Good grief! That’s kind of why we’re in Spain studying! Oh well…it was kind of rude I thought. When I got back we had Spanish tortillas for dinner, then I just did homework until bed time.
